I created a "Happy" card for a colleague who left work last week to start a new job with a children's charity. She is looking forward to new challenges.
I love the Basic Grey paper used for the background of the card. The leaf rubber stamp on the matching envelope is one of the new Penny Black Spring 2007 stamps.
I have about three birthday cards to make as well as several thank you cards, a congratulations card, a new job card (yes, another one!) and Easter cards... but I've made a grand total of none! I am finding it difficult to get motivated. Creating things normally cheers me up and gives me a sense of release, but it is difficult to focus on anything much at the moment.
I met a friend for lunch today. Her Dad died three years ago when he was only 54 years old. I hadn't seen her since late January, so it was good to catch up.
We've had an amazing quantity of sunshine in Scotland this past week; very unusual! Perhaps we'll have a good summer... which can mean only one thing - global warming! My Dad really loved sunshine and sitting in the sun, not that he had much time to do so! He would have enjoyed the weather this week. No doubt it will snow next week, though - one can never trust the Scottish weather.
